On February 19th Alcott held its monthly town meeting. This month the fourth and first grades pressented on the character pillar of fairness. The students performed songs, various skits and retold their version of fairness represented in the book Rainbow Fish.

Mrs. Cristin Buckely was also on hand to accept a check in the amount of $1300.00 for her foundation Ben Was Here. For our school wide giveback in January the students were able to take part in an art activity of their choice or lego building all while wearing their favorite sports team appearel. The students in turn donated a dollar or more to participate and the funds raised were then presented to the Buckley Family to put towards the foundation in memory of their son Ben. The response was overwhelming and a fun day was had by all as we celebrated the life of Ben and all the things he loved.
